If there was one thing Grandad was most proud of, it was of his time in the RAF.
He would tell story after story about the social exploits and the friends he made, but never about his actual service apart from that he served in the far east and ended up in Brize Norton on discharge.
As a civilian he kept alive his love of travel and was always ringing to say goodbye from an airport as he 'was just off to.....for a few weeks.'
This final trip is the biggest of all.... Bon voyage Grandad.
