A young Pamela Adams (our Mum) joined the WAAF service and after operating barrage balloons for a time, she moved into Admin Support and eventually progressed on to staff who were involved in the D-Day landings under General Eisenhower at Bushey Park. She was subsequently moved to Transport Command in Hendon, where she met Dennis O'Brien (our Dad).
