Chas Cobb
He joined the RAF aged 17 in 1947. Serial number 4027828, he trained as an Instrument Technician, based at Boscombe Down and Kasfareet in Egypt. Chas met Sadie in Kasfareet and they married in 1952. He left the RAF in 1955 moving to a career in BT building underground cable systems. Chas and Sadie had 2 children, 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Chas passed away in July 2020, aged 90. He is adored by his granddaughters, who fondly remembered Saturday lunches at Nan and Grandad’s.
