Douglas Lewis Charles Fielder
DLC Fielder was born on the 4th August 1921. He flew as a Wireless Operator and Gunner, attached to Squadrons 83 & 216 ME. His Serial No. was 1270306. The RAF was his life and, as his family...ours too. His wife Doreen Brine, his children: Sandra, Alexis and Hedley hold memories of our time in the RAF with dad as some of the very best. Having been offered an NCO, he sadly left the RAF on medical grounds as a Warrant Officer in 1962 while stationed at RAF Medmenham. He passed away on the 2nd April 1971. He was a dear father and much loved husband.
