Gladys was born in Rock Ferry. In World War II she joined the WAAF. Due to her administration skills she became a code and cipher clerk stationed at High Wycombe. She kept into contact with many friends found here in her retirement years especially, Pam Mosely. Gladys brought the fun and resilience learned in the WAAF into her family life. She remained active into her late eighties and became ‘Queen’ of her care home. Gladys died just into her 100th year and is sorely missed by her family.
