My loving mother, Doreen Theresa Nancy Fielder (nee Brine) joined the WRAF during WW2 and later was posted to Cairo. On her first day there, in the chaos and noise that is Cairo, she met her husband. He was with a group of airmen and when he saw my mother, he confided to them, that she was the woman he would marry. This came true six months later in Heliopolis. As well as being beautiful, she was principled and kind all of her days. She was a devoted wife and mother who is sorely missed by all her family.
