Charles Albert Lane
Charles was my great-granduncle. He enlisted in the RAF on the 12th May 1941, aged 19, having previously served in the navy. He became a pilot, was promoted to Sargent, but on the 3rd July 1943 was sadly killed in action.
This is for our sorrow at never getting to meet this wonderful, joyful, funny man.
